Registration (please read Carefully)

•Registration fee $15 deadline will be Friday, January 28, 2000
•Late Registration fee $20 with deadline of Friday, February 4, 2000.
•USCF membership is required and entry form must have USCF# and expiration date. Any student who can not prove he/she is a USCF member will be required to pay $12 (K-8th) or $17 (High School) membership fee.
•Please note USCF membership fee must be included for purchase or renewal with pre-registration fee.
•Make all check payable to : Canterbury Elementary, 2821 W. Canton Rd., Edinburg, TX 78539 c/o Garie Chrismer, Chess Sponsor 956-316-7488.
•There will be no onsite registrations!
•Only registrations with payment will be accepted; no faxes, no exceptions.
•Registration will close at 400 entries. Please include a phone number in case your entry does not meet the cut off.
•No changes will be allowed on the day of the tournament, any withdraws for refunds will be allowed only until Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000. (it is imperative that we start the tournament on time)

•High School Section or Jr.Varsity (Under 1000) (9th through 12th grade).
•Middle School or Jr. Varsity (Under 900) (6th grade through 8th grade) Please note: Sixth graders in middle school must play in M.S. section.
•Elementary or Jr. Varsity (Under 800) (kindergarten through 6th grade) Please note: Sixth graders in Elementary can play in M.S or Elem. sect.
•Primary or Jr. Varsity (Under 700) (kindergarten through 3rd grade)

This tournament is USCF rated and sanctioned and you will compete in all rounds, NO elimination. Format: 7 Swiss Style rounds at Game 30.

Miscellaneous Information

•Bring your chess sets, pencils and if you own a clock, please bring it also.
•Food and drinks will be available for sale.
•Dress comfortably; it will be a long day
•No spectators will be allowed in the hall, no exceptions; only the tournament staff will be allowed.
•Computer generated pairings
